More Than a Studio. A Podcast Partner.

Push Play was built by two people who have spent decades in the industry — one on the business side, one in the studio. Together, they built the operation that professionals and businesses in the Bay Area can rely on to show up, sound world-class, and publish consistently. Every single week.

Meet the Team

Alex Enriquez | Co-Founder & CEO

Before Push Play, there was the music.

Starting in 2008, while launching a career in business banking, Alex was simultaneously releasing albums under the name Mike-Dash-E — writing and recording original music, charting on iTunes, and performing globally. Over the course of that run — more than 8 million YouTube views and nearly a million streams later — one lesson was constant: content creation is expensive, time-consuming, and unforgiving if you don't have the right system behind it.

To cut costs, Alex built his own recording studio. Not to be a studio owner — but because owning the production meant owning the output. That instinct never left.

Music took a back seat in 2018. Banking didn't. Over 17 years as a consistently top-performing commercial banker — working with businesses generating up to $100 million in revenue — Alex built a reputation on one thing: honest, consultative strategy that actually moves the needle. Not pitching products. Solving problems. That same approach is how Push Play operates today.

Manny Jimenez | Co-Founder & CTO

Manny Jimenez has spent over two decades as a professional sound engineer — first across global stages and studios, then in Hollywood, before bringing that expertise home to the Bay Area.

His engineering credits speak for themselves: Kehlani. Teddy Riley. Hit-Boy. Tyrese. Pooh Bear. Goaple. The Jacka. These aren't name-drops — they're the standard Manny holds every session to, whether it's a major label recording or a business owner's first podcast episode.

Manny leads Push Play's professional Recording Studio and is the authority behind every audio deliverable the studio produces. When a client's podcast episode leaves Push Play, the levels are mixed and mastered by someone who has worked at the highest level in the industry. That's not a promise — it's a résumé.

The Push Play Origin

Built in the Bay. Rooted Since 2012.

The studio didn't start with podcasting. It started with music — and with the Bay Area.

In 2012, the recording studio opened its doors and quickly became a creative home for the New Bay Sound. As Mike-Dash-E and 3UP’s home studio it quickly became a frequent recording place for Artists like IAMSU!, P-LO, Kool John, Jay Ant of the HBK Gang and Adrian Marcel, Jane Handcock and ReeceBeats whom recorded here. Creators like Adrian Per and Cal-A — then part of the 3UP Team before going on to their own solo careers — built their craft in these walls. The studio wasn't just a room to record in. It was a hub for a movement.

That foundation never left. It just evolved.

In 2021, the studio expanded under the 3UP umbrella with the addition of an audio-only podcast studio — four microphones, clean setup, built for creators who needed a dedicated space to record without the technical headache. Then the world changed. COVID forced a rethink, and instead of stepping back, the team stepped forward — fully redesigning both the recording studio and podcast studio into a cleaner, more modern production environment.

Days before the planned reopening, the landlord reclaimed the Emeryville building.

Most people would have folded. Push Play found a new home instead.

At the end of 2024, Push Play relocated to San Leandro and doubled down on everything. Video was integrated into every podcast setup. Broadcast-quality production became the floor, not the ceiling. The original WeWork-style creator space concept gave way to something more focused: a full-service podcast partner built for professionals who are serious about showing up consistently and sounding world-class every time.

Record Once. Show up Everywhere.

We want to understand your industry, your audience, and what you're trying to build. Every client we work with gets a setup tailored to their goals, not a one-size-fits-all package.
